Yvon Chouinard on the Oscars
Monday, March 8, 2010 at 11:35AM It's allergy season in Seattle. After spending all morning in the Whaler cruising Puget Sound and breathing in untold amounts of tree pollen, my face was an oozing mucus factory, discharging it's waste all over my face, hands, sleeves, and my poor favorite Winston t-shirt. When I got home I promptly dosed myself with Benedryl (the knock you out drowsy variety), and two beers. As I slowly awoke from my drug induced stupor, and peered through bleary eyes, I saw Yvon Chouinard preaching the gospel on TV. To my amazement it was for American Express, and to my even further amazement it was add time on the Academy Awards. Check it out if you didn't see it.
All proceeds that Yvon receives from the commercial will be divided between five environmental groups of his choice. Here is more from Patagonia's blog, The Cleanest Line.
The founder and visionary behind Patagonia gets the spotlight on an add for The American Express Members Project.
